  4. My heart absolutely aches for you. Praying for you guys.

Rylee just asked me why I was sad, so I told her that Charlotte went to be with Jesus today. She got this sad little face then said "but mommy, she will be ok, she will be better now" The wisdom of a 3 year old. Let me know if you need anything at all.

  23. Your loss has been very heavy on my heart today. I never met her, but was blessed to share "moments" through your photos. My husband and I would flip through her pictures and laugh at those adorable cheeks. I remember my husband looking at a picture recently and saying "wow, Charlie has gotten so big!"...just like we knew her. I have faith and believe she is with God, but I know that doesn't help those she left behind. We are truely sorry and praying for you.

  24. Matt and Kristen, I am so very sorry for your loss. My heart just breaks for you guys. You gave that sweet little baby so much love this past year and I know she will be watching over you both from heaven. My heart goes out to you all - you guys have been in my prayers this past year, and will continue to be in the future. Much love!

  26. Kristen and Matt-I may not know you or your sweet baby Charley, but wanted to know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. A few friends had sent prayers and thoughts through facebook and directed me to your blog. As a health care provider, but more importantly a mommy, I was deeply moved by your blog about one of the toughest little sweetpeas I've (never)known. Thank you for sharing your story, but more importantly the life of Little Miss Ritchey. May God bless you all...and yes, fly high baby girl!

  28. “From Heaven” Written by Stephanie Husted

I watch you now from heaven,
    as the angels gather near,
asking, "Who's that you are watching?
    I say, "Hush now I can't hear".
So, they arch their heads a little,
    wondering...what it is I see,
Then I smile for just a moment,
    And say, "that's my family".
I know they think about me,
    Sometimes struggling through the day,
They want to wrap their arms around me,
See me run and smile and play.
"Do they know that here in heaven,
All the Father has in store?
That I do all of these things,
Yes, these things, and so much more.
God said I made a difference,
And my life there had a goal,
Then He wrapped his arms around me,
And He said, "Your heart is whole".
And my parents love me so much,
I'm so blessed to call them mine.
How I wish that I could tell them,
That I watch them all the time.
Jesus said "It won't be long child,
    Just you wait and see,
In the twinkling of an eye,
you'll all be here with me.
    No more surgeries or doctors,
No more tears, and no more pain.
Just a family hand in hand,
    Walking through the summer rain.
So when you think about me,
as I know you often do,
    Please remember I'm not gone,
I am waiting here for you.

    Sending out thought and prayers.

  34. We cannot imagine the pain and loss you must feel; we can't get the tragedy of it out of our head. Your strength amazes us that you could even post here...as impossible as it seems to go on, God will help you through. You and your family are in our prayers. She blessed and touched the lives of so many and will never be forgotten. If there is ANYTHING we can do to help...please let us know.

  35. I was honored to be at the Celebration of Charlotte's life today. The funeral home was packed with love and respect for Charlotte and your wonderful family. The strength it took for you to share your thoughts of Charlotte with us, were both touching and amazing, Kristin. Mother Teresa said the following: I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love. And, I know that you both can attest to this. Know that we are praying for strength for you. Alicia Elson (Mary Wagner-Ritchie's cousin)
