Baby Bumpin' {32 weeks}

I had a little talk with our Charley Bear this morning and she gave me permission to use one of her "Month of Chuck" days to give a quick update on how things are going with her baby brother.  Isn't that sweet of her?  She loves this little guy so very very much!

As of today I am officially 32 weeks pregnant.
Eight weeks from my due date.
Five weeks from the 37 week mark where Charlotte decided enough was enough with being trapped on the inside!

Thirty-two weeks pregnant - I'm having a little trouble wrapping my brain around that.  Life has been so crazy lately and while there are big plans being made for our future, nothing is at the point where I feel like we can just sit back and really prepare ourselves for this little guys arrival.

We don't have a nursery.
All of our baby things are still in boxes.
I know where the bottles and blankets are...I suppose thats a start.

The Kristen of 2 years ago would probably definitely be freaking out right about now.  And by freaking out I mean FREAKING OUT.  Sure, I get a little antsy from time to time when I think about how unprepared we are in terms of material things...but then I remind myself that as a newborn, this baby has relatively few needs-- food to fill his belly, a roof over his head, diapers and most of all, insane amounts of LOVE from his Mama and Daddy.  I think that we've got those things covered (well....with the exception of the diapers!)

Charlotte's baby shower was right around the time I was 32 weeks.  Apparently I thought that this counted for our monthly picture because I can't seem to find one taken in front of our door.
Here's me and my basketball belly at 32 weeks.
I already feel like he's running out of room in there!
At 32 weeks I'm still feeling pretty darn good.  I'm noticing my energy level fading a little bit and am starting to find it harder to get "comfy," but those are pretty small complaints.  Here are a few random updates from the last 4 weeks!

-This past weekend we took the little guy to see The Avengers.  Now, I get uncomfortable in theater seat when I'm NOT pregnant, so just imagine how I felt at 32 weeks!  Not to mention the fact that super hero movies = lots of LOUD sound = constant baby stimulation.  I'm totally in love with feeling this baby move around in my belly, but non-stop jabs blows to the ribs for 2 hours it gets to be a little uncomfortable. At one point I was pretty sure that I was going into pre-term labor!

-My brain is slowly turning to mush.  Not only do I forget what I'm talking about mid-sentence, but my thought processes are so incredibly ridiculous.  I got up to go to the bathroom at about 4AM the other morning.  While I was there I had simultaneous "itches" in my nose and my ear.  I scratched my nose.  I scratched my ear.  Then I immediately thought to myself...."OH NO.  What if I just put a booger in my ear!"  Then I sat there and laughed.  Wow.  Gotta love 4AM.

-You know you're in your last trimester of pregnancy when you go to put on a pair of underwear and question whether you put it on backwards or not.  No, Kristen.  Your butt is just big!

-I've un-officially named the baby Franklin.  Matt calls him Juan.  Or Homer.  Or whatever name comes to mind.

-I'm waddling (unless I really focus on NOT waddling!)

I'm pretty excited about this week because I get another sneak peek at little "Franklin."  We have my every 2 week appointment tomorrow afternoon and then an ultrasound scheduled for right away on Wednesday morning.  My head tells me that there is no need to worry, but there will forever be a part of me that does anyway.  Prayers appreciated!

Oh, Mr. Mister...we love you so much and can't wait to meet you!  Keep on cookin' away in there and the time will be here before we know it!
